Raúl Soto is Specialist in United States-Mexico Border Studies by El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. He has taken various courses and specialization trainings on citizen security and other related topics at national and international agencies.In the last 15 years, he has worked at the Violence against Women Prevention and Eradication National Commission, at the United States-Mexico Border Office of the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO-WHO), FICOSEC and for the USAID’s Programa para la Convivencia Ciudadana (PCC) and Juntos para la Prevención de la Violencia (JPV)He has authored and co authored 4 book chapters on citizen security, and also participated in several expertise panels in Canada, South Africa, the United States and Mexico.In recent years, he has supported municipal and state governments, as well as civil society organizations in the design of comprehensive prevention strategies. He is currently JPV’s Chief of Party in Mexico City.
